Regarding the situation at Twitter Bluesky
On October 27th, 2022, Elon Musk completed his purchase and assumed control of Twitter. Since then, there has seemingly been daily reports of destabilizing decisions. The reporting about his leadership of Twitter have now resulted in people questioning whether Twitter has a long-term future.
While you contemplate this you should download your Twitter archive. Here is a tutorial (and part 2) from Joel.
#MedTwitter, which has been dwindling, has started a mass exodus (X-odus) from Twitter and are headed to BlueSky. BlueSky was a skunkworks project at Twitter which was spun off of the mothership right before Elon took control. Since then, it has been quietly developing a new type of social network that promises to be more decentralized. We’ll see. But in the meantime it has developed into a very functional Twitter-clone which is now populated with many of the great medical accounts from #MedTwitter classic.
