The summer feels different. People take more vacation. The kids go to camp. Lots of academic calenders relax over the summer before ramping up Grand Rounds again in September. And honestly, there is nothing quite so nerdy as bringing a two week old copy of the NEJM to the beach. In our continuous efforts to protect you from getting sand kicked in your face at the beach we bring you The NephJC Summer Book Club for the second year in a row. This summer’s book is Eric Topol’s The Patient Will See You Now which is about how technology will drive a revolution in healthcare that will radically empower patients. In the next week NephJC will publish summaries of every chapter of the book and then on Tuesday, July 26 at 9 PM EDT and Wednesday, July 27 at 8PM BDT we will discuss the book. You still have time to read this. The audio book is only 11 hours and 16 minutes.
